Spent another afternoon out at the Villa del Palmar resort and drove up the San Javier Highway to the pinturas rupestres (cave paintings) and a much smaller oasis than last year.

Went grey whale watching at Puerto Lopez Mateos on the Pacific side of BCS today! Saw tonnes of whales and babies! Got covered in whale snot! :) Sometimes they were less than 20 feet from the boat!
Lesson learned today...must bring good DSLR camera...so many of the shots where fuzzy with my little point and shoot...the pictures just don't do the experience justice.

They were only expecting a crowd of around 100 people...but there were only chairs for maybe 1/5 of the people and had issues with parking...so we are guessing around 500 showed up!
